Vodafone and HTC Corporation have announced the HTC Magic smartphone, Vodafone’s first Android-powered mobile.
"The announcement of the HTC Magic is an important step for Android and the Open Handset Alliance," says Andy Rubin, Senior Director of Mobile Platforms at Google.

- Wi-Fi, 3G, EDGE/GPRS
- Bluetooth only for mono headset, USB (mini)
- 3 megapixel AF camera

Vodafone to sell iPhone 3G from $708
Vodafone Essar, India's third-largest mobile operator, will sell Apple's iPhone 3G at 31,000 rupees ($708) for the 8GB model, a senior company official, who could not be named, said on Wednesday,
Vodafone Essar and larger rival Bharti Airtel will start selling the device from Friday.
Vodafone Essar will charge 36,100 rupees ($824) for the 16GB model. The new iPhone sells for as low as $199 in the United States.
A spokesman for Bharti Airtel said the company would announce its price for the iPhone soon.

iPhone 3G to make India debut on Aug 22
The new-generation iPhone will be available in India from August 22. The country’s two largest GSM operators, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Essar, on Wednesday announced that they will begin selling the new model in select outlets from that date.
The new iPhone features built-in GPS for expanded location-based mobile services and iPhone 2.0 software, which supports Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and hundreds of third-party applications.

India to Get iPhone 3G on August 18
So after much digging, we've got information on the official date for the India launch of the iPhone 3G.
Vodafone will launch the iPhone 3G first on the 18th of August. Pricing and other essentials are still unknown. But worry not, we at Tech2 will keep you posted. You'll know as soon as we do.

3G iPhone launching globally on July 11
Vodafone and Apple today announced that the iPhone 3G will be available in Australia, Italy, New Zealand and Portugal on July 11, and in the Egypt, Greece, India, South Africa and Turkey later this year.
