Samsung India introduced the world's first solar-powered mobile phone `Solar Guru' (Guru E1107) which enables users to charge the battery anywhere the sun is shining. This phone is specially developed by keeping in mind the needs of consumers in areas where electric supply is unstable.
The handset has the capacity to provide around 5-10 minutes of talk time with one hour of solar charging. This phone will be lauched in market by mid of June at a price of Rs 2,799.

New Samsung i8510 Symbian phone with 8 MP camera
Samsung i8510, a new slider symbian phone from samsung with 8 MP camera. Samsung i8510 also has GPS & Wi-Fi. It is QVGA device with Symbian 9.3 OS with S60 UI. This phone will be released in Mid of August. It will be available in 8GB and 16GB inbuild memory. It also has microSD memory card slot for expanding memory.

Samsung's New Handset L700
Samsung has announced a new handset called the L700. It has a 2.1 inch TFT display and a large keypad for easy of use. It has 2 MP Camera phone. Bluetooth, Media Player, 3G network & also supports video calling by using front camera.
The L700 will launch in Eastern Europe in July and will then be introduced in Europe, Middle East, Southwest Asia and Southeast Asia.

Samsung launches iPhone-like Omnia handset
Samsung Omnia has a prominent 3.2-inch display that takes up almost the entire front panel of the phone. Underneath the otherwise clean front surface are three buttons. The screen has 240 pixel by 400 pixel resolution (Wide QVGA),
It will be available in two capacities: 8G bytes and 16G bytes and supports a range of video standards including DivX, XviD, H.263, H.264, Windows Media Video and MP4. The camera has 5 megapixel resolution.
